Announcement About the Requirement to Publish Scientific Work for Master's and Doctorate

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Graduate Education Teaching and Examination Regulation Article 15 (2) (Amended:RG-16/9/2020-31246)(2) In the preparation of the master's thesis; a) “In order to establish the thesis defense jury, the student must fulfill one of the following conditions under the name of the University: at least one paper presented as a poster/oral presentation at a national or international conference, congress or symposium, or a scientific article accepted/published in a national/international peer-reviewed journal, or a patent/utility model application accepted. In this context, the student applies to the institute through the head of the department/art department after obtaining the approval of his/her advisor for all his/her documented studies on behalf of the University." It is valid from the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year. Therefore, as of the 2020-2021 academic year, it is a prerequisite for the formation of the thesis defense jury that students enrolled in one of the graduate programs and who have reached the thesis defense stage must meet the requirement of publishing a scientific study in accordance with the relevant article of the regulation. Students who have reached the thesis defense stage must attach the published scientific study mentioned above as an additional attachment to the "Master's Thesis Submission and Jury Proposal Form" and submit it to the Head of the Department.

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Graduate Education Teaching and Examination Regulation Article 30(2) (Amended:RG-16/9/2020-31246) In the preparation of the doctoral thesis; a) A student in the doctoral program writes the results obtained in accordance with the thesis writing rules approved by the relevant institute. In order to establish the thesis defense jury, the student must fulfill one of the following conditions under the name of the University: having a scientific article accepted/published in at least one national or international peer-reviewed journal, or a patent/utility model document. In this context, the student applies to the institute through the head of the department/art department after obtaining the approval of his/her advisor for all his/her documented studies on behalf of the University.
